skinny love

Today I found out that House of Harlow, Nicole Ritchies jewellery range is launching on Asos soon, so finally we can get out hands on it in the UK. I'm so so excited! I absolutely love the statement cuffs and rings. They're perfect for updating plain tshirts with leggings or cut off shorts.

Alsoo Im ridiculously addicted to painting my nails atm and my current favourite nail varnish is a matte grey colour by Barry M, it was only £3 and its so so good. I plan to buy a cute pastel colour next, maybe a green or a pink colour.

This weeks going to be very busy, today I've just been relaxing with my family as my grandparents are visiting but they go home on wednesday ]: but tomorrow i have to start working hard at my project and start to process and develop the black and white 35mm film i took on friday. Then I'm hoping to meet up with my friend Tom whos at Plymouth uni and shoot with him for Friday or Saturday. I plan to recreate one of his crazy dreams including tonnes of multi-coloured feathers which should be fun.

we lost ourselves in the bright lights

Today im in an awful mood for no apparent reason. Lovely. Perhaps it has something to do with having to wake up at 5.45 for work. Golly im sleepy now.

I absolutely love the Barbara Hunanicki collection for topshop which launches this week and although I'm poor I really want almost everything from the collection! Its so cute and feminine without being too girlie, its almost doll like and the shapes and the prints are amazing.

These are my two favourite things from the collection which i would love to have!! The tshirt is just so cute with the slouchy shape and illustration and I love black and white it'll look so nice with leggings. And the dress is just such a good shape it'll be really flattering and reds one of my favourite colours to wear.

My sister dyed my hair and my hair extensions today so finally I don't have roots. Its red of course and I love it.

lets burn our dreams into the skyline...

Just been having a browse on Asos, theres not much point as I'm trying to reduce my shopping since I bought so much last week and I'm trying to save for a macbook. But anyway I picked out a few of my favourite things at the moment which maybe I'll buy eventually...

The jeans are by cheap monday and I've been looking for a good pair of jeans for so long now since I live in leggings. I adore the wash and I only wear skinnys so theyre perfect. The cuff is something I've been meaning to buy for ages, its very Nicole Ritchie whos style I love and its just one of those things you can wear with almost everything. The dress I just adore, its so summery and the print is so so cute with radishes all over it, very Alice in Wonderland and its in the style of Alice Dellal who I love almost as much, I think i would wear it with heavy jewellery, geek glasses and gladiators. And finally the slashed top, I love anything which is slashed, distressed, frayed etc atm so this top fits the bill and i love the not quite black colour and the longer length makes it perfect to wear with leggings.

I really need to get over my asos addiction its not healthy!

If you like it then you should've put a ring on it

Haha, i haven't written a blog for so long, mainly due to my hectic schedule of university interviews and college work and my ridiculously slow computer but i've now decided to make an informed effort to try to post something every day, we'll see how long this lasts...

I am absolutely in love with Marmaduke duke and especially their version of all the single ladies which they performed in the livelounge, it has only reinforced my love of Simon Neil, frontman of Biffy Clyro and also Marmaduke duke...

You know im not usually a great fan of facial hair... but in this case i have to make an exception... theres just something about him! and i love scottish accents haha. Oh dear...

So in short what I've been doing in recent months has been applying to universities and attending interviews; i applied for BA Hons degrees in photography at Bournemouth, Brighton and Southhampton Solent and then in photojournalism at LCC and Press Photography at Falmouth. I've got offers from Bournemouth, Southhampton Solent and LCC, i was rejected by Falmouth but who wants to go there anyway and i'm waiting to hear back from Brighton before i make my decision, however at the moment i must admit im edging towards London. I've always wanted to live in central London and this will be the perfect oppurtunity to do so and the course is one of my favourites...

I've managaged to take very few photos so far for my final major project, i've done two photoshoots of the same subject, one based on the works of Leibovitz, Crewdson and Vermeer working with constructing images in order to present a narrative

In these images i presented dreams which katie has been recording for me in her dream diaries, im so glad i met her shes my new found muse, her dreams and thoughts are perfect for my project and she works well in front of the camera. Last night i did another shoot with her, this time on black and white film which i hope to develop in the darkroom this coming week where i just spoke to her and tried to capture different expressions, much like the Corrine Day portraits of Kate Moss...

So anyway other than working so many shifts at work and trying hard to concentrate on my final project i've also managed to go back home to visit the boyfriend and friends for 5 days which was just lovely. It's always good to just spend alone time with my boy because its such a rarity nowadays so it was good to have a little time to chill out. However i also managed to cram in a visit to his gig on friday night with Claire and also a classic jew party at claires which is always a must when im back in the area and it was so good to see familiar faces who i haven't seen in so long. It was sad that i didn't get to see sophie though because she was ill and i miss her so so much! and also i didn't get a chance to catch up with Emilie and Laura but hopefully I'll get to see them soon! I also of course managed to get some time to do some shopping and also get a tattoo [[:

I'll take pictures of my purchases and my new tattoo soon and post them [[: also im going to get my hair cut on wednesday and i think im getting my fringe cut short again exciting stuff!
